While there’s no question why Invisalign is a sought-after treatment for people who want to improve their smile, Invisalign treatment isn’t for everyone. If you have gum disease or cavities, for example, those issues will have to be resolved before Invisalign treatment. Patients who have dental implants, bridges or TMJ disorder may not be the best candidates for Invisalign. An Invisalign certified orthodontist may still be able to make the treatment work for you.

You may feel some slight discomfort in the first few days of wearing a new set of aligners. This is a good thing and a sign that the aligners are working to move your teeth. The discomfort can be described as a slight feeling of pressure and goes away after a couple of days.
If you are diligent about keeping your clear aligners clean they should be difficult for others to notice while you are wearing them. However, if someone is standing very close to you then it is obvious that they may be more likely to notice your aligners
