Dentures & Partials

Dentistry is not expensive, Neglect is!

Dentures are designed to help fill out your facial profile and improve your appearance. They also make it easier to eat, chew, and speak regularly. Partial dentures replace a few missing teeth while complete dentures replace all teeth, gums, and surrounding tissues. Regardless of what kind of dentures you may need, they will be custom designed to fit your mouth, and visually matched to your existing teeth. Lastly, dentures are a viable solution to replace teeth that are causing serious pain and oral health issues. Having dentures fitted means that troublesome teeth are eliminated and replaced with a strong and beautiful alternative.

You don’t have to worry about sores or discomfort.

Frequently Asked Questions

YOUR COMMON QUESTIONS ANSWERED BY EXPERTS.

The best starting point to see if dentures are an option for you is schedule an appointment with us. Our prosthodontist will be able to help determine if another treatment option might be more suited to your particular situation.

The answer to this question is different for everyone. It can take time — weeks or sometimes months — to get used to your new dentures. Keep in mind you may need several adjustments during the first couple of weeks to achieve your desired fit.

Most people sleep without their dentures because it’s more comfortable and it gives the tissues in their mouth a rest. Whether you sleep with or without them, it’s important to take them out for at least eight hours every day. Leaving your dentures out for at least eight hours a day:

  • Gives your gums a break.
  • Reduces harmful oral bacteria.
  • Keeps your jawbone as strong as possible.

It typically takes some time for patients to become accustomed to their dentures since they need to learn how to utilise them properly. You should eventually be able to eat regularly, but it might take longer for you to get used to eating tougher or stickier things.

You can brush your false teeth as normal, just making sure that you are a bit gentle, especially at first. You can also take them out and wash them with soap and water. We recommend that you soak your dentures in water with a fizzy denture-cleaning tablet as well, in order to remove any food particles and prevent staining.
